Every year since 1993 the International Mystery Booksellers Association has given out an award – named for the founder and first proprietor of the late, lamented Murder Ink bookstore – that celebrates “the book independent booksellers most enjoyed selling.” 2009’s nominees for this honor, which will be awarded at Left Coast Crime in March, are:
